A Heap of Heart and a Cup of sugar {Humbert's Humble Crumble}

Pardon me as I am not very well at blog posting! But I am trying this year. I seem to try every year but dont always succeed! This past week I had the wonderful opportunity to walk into a kitchen of a gal who I meet a few years ago doing her little ones photos. Many of you have come to know Amie as she answers my emails. But this past fall, AMIE took a leap of faith an opened her own Cookie business. I was so excited for her. Supporting other small businesses is something so important to my family. And I couldn’t wait to support this client turned, friend. Amie rocked out over 200 cookies for me for our Santa Sessions on top of creating one of a kind cookies for her other clients. Check out our a little “not your typical head shot”

To check out Amies One of kind cookies, and they taste as amazing as they look Humbert’s Humble Crumble.

Her spunk is one in a million!

Last year I had the honor of meeting sweet little S and her family. Lets just say they are the sweetest! Little S was just 2 and as we all know 2 years olds can be a little shy at times. Fast forward to this year! Sweet little “S” and her amazing spunk. You cant help but smiles when she chats!! Happy 3 Little “S”

Scrunch noses and smiling faces

I Said it and HE listened. If you don’t already know water shoots are by far some of my favorite. There is just something about water that make most kiddos go crazy. Maybe it has to do with my two boys are just in LOVE with the water. We had a blast with this family and then we hit the water. Kiddos get this look in their eyes when I tell them at the end they can splash me. Some look at mom and dad for approval, some are not the splashing type and some are little these two!! They went all in and I couldn’t help but love their excitement!! It is always an honor to document families and its even a bigger honor when they show me their personalities.

What it truly means to Dance in the Rain.

I am really working on blogging a lot this year. I am not always good with words so please forgive me. I am sure this is going to be a memo for every session.

There is something truly magical when I meet a family. Especially a family that over the corse of a few years. They start as who is this crazy lady jumping up and down and making by far the strangest noises possible to get my child to smile. They are nervous, you want me to do what. I often get. And then over the Course of time becoming themselves in front of the camera. This family did just this. We had to reschedule our first date and trying to reschedule on a reschedule due to causes we cant control can be daunting. I think I talked to this mom all day about her session. Its suppose to rain. WAIT its not suppose to rain now. OH yes again now it is. We decided that whatever happens happens and we will roll with the punches.

We arrived. I just adore this family and if you know them you know why I do. Another thing about getting to know families is they show me them they are honest. DOWN right brutally honest and who they are. I asked Dad so how are the kids. His response HORRIBLE they are not having it today. In the back of my mind Im nervous will I get them to smile, while they be themselves, oh boy are we going to have to reschedule based on having a bad day. LETS FACE IT, we all have bad days and Kids are no different. THEY do they really do and sometimes its just not their day to smile, Run and be silly. Well lets just say they were fun I love a little challenge at times and with having a bad day sometimes we have to just have fun to have a good day!! We laughed OH we all laughter these boys gosh they melted my heart. Since they were doing fantastic we decided to head over to my SPOT. My favorite water area at my favorite park. It was overcast out and I couldn’t wait!! I imagined was this great moody overcast sky. But what I got was SO much more. It started to DOWNPOUR. Like full on pour like I have never seen before. I looked at mom and dad as we were walking and they looked at me and said LETS DO IT. AND this is why I love the ADP families. NOT everything in life happens perfect and these moments are by far my favorite moments to document. I have all of the beautiful looking images which we all adore and then my friends and then we just be US!!

THIS IS US. Meet the V family!

Judd is 8 Months

It has been so fun getting to know Judd over the past year!! From his super cool mom and dad, His cheeky hip bedroom and the fun we have had down by Lake Michigan this past summer. Judd has been such a joy to get to know. He always loves to play hard to get for the first few minutes, which is totally cool with me, and then he warms up and gives the cutest little grins! I can't believe his first year journey is slowly creeping up on us!! I cant wait to see how much he has changed in the next few months.

Awaiting a Little Boy

Wow! What can't I say about this amazing soon to be family of 3! When Mom messaged us asking to do outdoors I we had to give our regular sepal. It might be cold, there might not be snow, etc etc. Well it snowed!! And wow I was so happy it did. The past 2 years in Southeastern WI we have not had a lot of snow. I just adore the simple Glam in the middle of a Beautiful Field. We were defiantly cold but we all pushed through and I am so glad we did! Mom and Dad are just stunning, I cant wait to meet their sweet little boy in just a few short months.

I just adored the blanket mom brought with! It matched Perfectly with the cozy winter feel!
